Born as a spin-off work from an ongoing research project around North Sentinel Island and its hardly achievable representation, 1 or 2 images
(some notes on) speculatively brings together two very different images - Google Earth Pro’s imagery around the Island and a 1953 painting
by Mark Rothko, dissecting their materiality, questioning their differences and affinities, and ultimately addressing the deep reasons of
mankind’s need to make images of the world.
